GOFUNDME to Support Winner's Non-Profit Organization

As we prepare to host our first large club event this Saturday, December 6, we are continuing to accept donations through GOFUNDME to support a fantastic cause. These donations will be rewarded to the winners of the Pitch Competition who will then be able to donate the prize money to the nonprofit they pitched for! Donations of at least $5 are recommended, but anything would be MORE than greatly appreciated! Through your support and donations towards this event you are not only promoting the Non-Profit that will receive the winnings, but also the Future Social Leaders Organization as we strive to become active world citizens. Please see below for the attached link below to donate!

Our First Big Event - the FSL Pitch Competition!

Are you a freshman in the Kelley Living Learning Center?

Ever seen Shark Tank?

Want to win a whole bunch of money for your favorite nonprofit?

If you answered YES to these questions, you're invited to participate in the first Future Social Leaders Pitch Competition being held at the KLLC on December 6! This competition will allow you as an individual or team to give a short 2-3 minute pitch about your favorite nonprofit to a panel of judges, and the winner will be able to donate the prize money to the nonprofit they endorsed (Shark Tank style). This is a great way to practice your business presentation style, get feedback from some amazing judges, and support a great cause. There will also be an adjoining networking session with food, activities, and some great IU philanthropic organizations. Please see the attached links to sign up!

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to our blog! We are Future Social Leaders (FSL), a new social entrepreneurship organization through the Kelley Living Learning Center. Through participation in awareness, engagement, and action, Future Social Leaders aims to improve as active world citizens. We are organized into four committees, Networking, Finance, External Relations, and Internal Activities, all of equal importance. Together, we hope to understand and improve problems within society by contributing in service and advocacy.

As we kick off our first year as an organization, keep an eye out for various events we may be holding, such as fundraisers, service projects, guest speakers, and pitch competitions. If you are interested in hearing more about Future Social Leaders or any of the organized events, please follow us on Twitter @IUFSL or check back into our blog to see our updates! If you have any questions regarding the organization or potentially becoming social rock stars, email us at futuresocialleaders@gmail.com.
